As we continue to grow with zesha, we will continue to double down and focus on optimising our systems and processes.

One such change is reducing the number of reminders being sent to you which impacts how we handle service expiries and suspensions.

Every month, we send thousands of emails to our customers reminding them on various occasions, including:

  • Upcoming domain renewals
  • Generation of proforma invoices
  • Overdue reminders for proforma invoices
  • Domain expiry notices
  • Web hosting suspension notices

Further to that, over the years, we have included various domain names and services in our platform. Each of these services handle suspensions differently. Some have grace periods, where as others don't. In order to standardise, we will be changing the way we handle suspensions as well effective today.

Here is how we will handle these moving forward:

  • We will send only one reminder for domain renewal, 30 days before expiry date.
  • When a domain/product/service is due for renewal, if auto renewal is enabled, we will generate the proforma invoice and send you a notification depending on your billing cycle as follows:

    - Monthly services: 15 days before expiry
    - Quarterly services: 30 days before expiry
    - Semi-Annual services: 30 days before expiry
    - Annual services: 30 days before expiry
    - Biennial services: 30 days before expiry
    - Triennial services: 30 days before expiry

  • If the proforma invoice remains unpaid, we will send only one reminder which will be 5 days before its due date.
  • When a product/service expires, it will be suspended the same day.
  • We will send you notification of suspension by email and/or SMS if configured.
  • We will send you notification of reactivation by email and/or SMS if configured.
