Do I need internet to use eM Client?

You'll need internet to use eM Client to be able to connect to online services and send/receive emails.

However, it is not required for you to have internet to use eM Client offline. When you are offline, you wouldn't be able to send/receive emails or synchronize your files though.

Is switching from Outlook to eM Client worth it?

Recently, Microsoft 365 services are only supported on latest versions of Outlook software. If you are coming from legacy editions, such as Outlook 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016, you may wish to consider eM Client instead.
